Privacy Policy

Delnor Tech ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website delnortech.com and the Instagram account @delnortech, and uses an automated customer-support assistant ("the Assistant") to respond to direct messages and comments on Instagram. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through these channels, how we use it, who can access it, and how you can request its deletion.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not send messages to @delnortech or use the Assistant.


1. Who we are

Delnor Tech is a small e-commerce business based in the United States. We sell consumer hardware, including the KeyTrack key tracker.

The Assistant is operated by Delnor Tech. We control the personal data collected through Instagram DMs and through the Assistant's reply pipeline.


2. What information we collect

When you interact with @delnortech on Instagram, the Assistant may collect and process the following:

2.1 Information you send us

  • Direct message (DM) text content
  • Instagram comments on @delnortech posts (if you choose to reply or comment)
  • Any media (images, links) you attach to a DM
  • The Instagram-assigned scoped user ID (a string of digits) that identifies your conversation with @delnortech

2.2 Information Instagram provides about you

  • Your Instagram-assigned scoped user ID
  • Your public display name and handle (if Instagram shares them with our app)
  • The timestamp of each message

2.3 What we do NOT collect

  • We do not request, store, or use your Instagram password
  • We do not collect your phone number, real name (beyond what you choose to share), location, browsing history, or any other Instagram profile data beyond what is listed above
  • We do not collect information from your other Instagram conversations
  • We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or marketing pixels inside the Assistant

3. How we use your information

We use the information collected through the Assistant solely to:

  1. Reply to your messages. The text of your DM is processed so the Assistant (and/or our human team) can compose a helpful response about KeyTrack, orders, returns, or related topics.
  2. Maintain conversation context. We store recent messages in a private database so the Assistant can give you coherent answers across multiple turns of a conversation.
  3. Escalate sensitive messages. If your message appears to relate to a refund, complaint, legal matter, or other sensitive topic, the Assistant escalates the message to the human business owner for personal handling. The escalation is delivered via private operator channels (e.g., Telegram). No part of the escalation is shared publicly.
  4. Improve the Assistant. Aggregate, de-identified patterns (such as the rate of common product questions) may be used to refine the Assistant's prompts. We do not use individual messages for model training without the user's consent.

We do not use your messages to send you promotional content unless you have explicitly opted in.


4. Who can access your information

  • Delnor Tech staff and authorized operators — for handling escalations and quality review.
  • Anthropic, PBC — the Assistant's reply drafting uses the Anthropic Claude API. The content of your message is sent to Anthropic only to generate a reply; Anthropic does not use the message to train models when called through the standard API.   • Meta Platforms, Inc. — Instagram is operated by Meta, and any DM you send goes through Meta's infrastructure under Meta's own privacy policy at https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy.
  • No advertising partners, brokers, or aggregators receive your messages or scoped ID.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.


5. How long we keep your information

  • Direct message content and conversation history: up to 24 months from the date of the most recent message in that conversation. After that, the conversation is deleted from our database in a routine sweep.
  • Escalation records (the trigger reason and the draft reply): same retention period as the underlying conversation.
  • Anonymized aggregate statistics (e.g., total inbound messages per week): retained indefinitely; cannot be linked back to an individual.

You can request immediate deletion at any time (see Section 7).


6. How we protect your information

  • All Assistant traffic is served over HTTPS.
  • The conversation database is stored on private, owner-controlled infrastructure with restricted access.
  • Access credentials are stored in an encrypted secret store with file-based encryption.
  • We do not expose your messages or scoped ID in any public log, analytics dashboard, or marketing material.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data incident affecting your information, we will notify you via the same channel through which you contacted us (Instagram DM) within a reasonable timeframe required by law.


7. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about your conversation with @delnortech.
  • Request correction of any inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your conversation and any stored data linked to your Instagram scoped user ID.
  • Opt out of further automated replies from the Assistant. After opting out, your DMs will only receive human responses or no response at all.
  • Withdraw consent for any future processing.

8. Children's privacy

@delnortech and the Assistant are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has sent us a message, please email delnortechnology@gmail.com and we will delete the conversation promptly.


9. International users

Delnor Tech operates from the United States. If you message us from outside the U.S., your information is processed and stored in the U.S. By messaging us, you consent to this transfer.


10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted in a banner on delnortech.com for at least 30 days.
