Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: May 21, 2026

If you have ever sent a direct message to @delnortech on Instagram, our automated customer-support assistant may have stored your conversation (the text of your messages, the Instagram-assigned scoped user ID for your conversation, and the timestamps). This page explains how to request that we delete that data.

We do not collect your Instagram password, phone number, browsing history, or any profile data beyond what is necessary to maintain the conversation. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion in either of the following ways. Both routes reach the same person.

Option A — Email (recommended)

Send an email to delnortechnology@gmail.com with:

  • Subject line: Data Deletion Request
  • Body: the Instagram handle (or scoped user ID, if you have it) used to message @delnortech, plus a sentence confirming you want your conversation history with @delnortech deleted.

We respond to verified requests within 30 days with a confirmation that your data has been removed from our database. In most cases the actual deletion runs within 48 hours of receipt.

Option B — Instagram DM

Send a direct message to @delnortech containing the phrase:

"Please delete my data"

This triggers an immediate escalation to a human operator who will confirm receipt and remove your conversation from our database within 7 days. We will also reply to your DM to confirm completion.

What gets deleted

When you make a deletion request, we remove:

  • The full text of every direct message in your conversation with @delnortech, in both directions
  • Your Instagram-assigned scoped user ID as it appears in our database
  • Any escalation records that reference your conversation
  • Any draft replies that were generated for your conversation

Aggregate, de-identified statistics (e.g., total inbound message count for a given week) do not contain personal data and are retained.

What we cannot delete

We can only delete data we hold. We cannot:

  • Delete messages from your own Instagram inbox — only Instagram can do that (see Instagram's deletion options at https://help.instagram.com/contact/505535973176353)
  • Delete messages that Meta retains in its own infrastructure under Meta's policies
  • Delete data shared with you outside of Instagram (e.g., emails you sent to delnortechnology@gmail.com)

Bulk and account-level deletion

If you no longer want to interact with @delnortech at all and want to stop receiving automated replies permanently, include the phrase "and opt me out" in your deletion request. We will:

  1. Delete your existing conversation data
  2. Add your scoped user ID to an "opt-out" list so future DMs from your account do not trigger automated replies
  3. Confirm in writing once both steps are complete

You can rejoin the automated reply pipeline at any time by sending a fresh DM with the phrase "opt me back in".

App Review / Meta-required endpoint

For Meta App Review purposes, this page also serves as the data-deletion URL.

Endpoint URL: https://delnortech.com/data-deletion

If you are a Meta reviewer testing this endpoint, please email delnortechnology@gmail.com with the subject Reviewer Test and we will confirm receipt within one business day.
